Set at an elite high school attended by next-generation corporate heirs, SBS's star-studded youth drama The Heirs revolves around the lives and love of the young and rich, and the hardworking heroine who stumbles into this world she doesn't belong. Lee Min Ho and Park Shin Hye lead the series as the star-crossed illegitimate chaebol and maid's daughter, along with a staggering lineup of up-and-coming stars and idols that includes Kim Woo Bin (School 2013), Choi Jin Hyuk (Gu Family Book), CNBLUE's Kang Min Hyuk, f(x)'s Krystal, ZE:A's Park Hyung Sik, Kang Ha Neul (Monstar) and Kim Ji Won (To the Beautiful You).
Heir to the Jeguk Group conglomerate, Kim Tan (Lee Min Ho) has been whiling and brooding his days away in California, far from the family and the family business – which is exactly what his older half-brother and current Jeguk president Kim Won (Choi Jin Hyuk) wants. Tan is resigned to his lonely life until he crosses paths with Eun Sang (Park Shin Hye), who came to the States looking for her sister. Despite being from opposite sides of the track, something clicks between them. Eun Sang's return to Korea inspires Tan to also finally go home, where it turns out Eun Sang's mother is the housekeeper for Tan's family.
Both Tan and Eun Sang enroll at Jeguk High School, the stomping grounds of the young and wealthy. Tan's big return isn't welcomed by the school's resident kingpin Choi Young Do (Kim Woo Bin), Tan's best friend-turned-enemy whose pastime is to bully poor students. Mistaken as a nouveau riche, Eun Sang just wants to attend school quietly, but she's soon caught between Tan and Young Do's fierce misguided rivalry.
